The Los Angeles Rams and Dallas Cowboys face off down in Arlington, Texas this Sunday.

The Rams are coming off a disappointing 24-17 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, with most of the disappointment falling on the Matthew Stafford-Cooper Kupp connection.

Stafford completed just 14 of his 29 pass attempts, and Kupp caught just two of his seven targets.

On the other side, Dallas is coming in rested off a bye week.

The Cowboys are looking for their first set off back-to-back wins since Weeks 1 and 2.

With plenty of star players on the field, let’s construct a Same Game Parlay for this Week 8 matchup.

I’ll be placing this same-game betslip on DraftKings.

Matthew Stafford – ALT Passing Yards: 225+ (-265) AND OVER 1.5 TD Passes (+130 DraftKings)

Sometimes a man just has to step up, and this week, that man is Matthew Stafford.

Los Angeles will be without running back Kyren Williams once again, and the Rams’ running game will probably be substituted for a series of screen passes near the line of scrimmage.

Dallas’ defense has allowed the third-least passing yards in the NFL on average, surrendering just 177 passing yards per game, but with a number of injuries on the defensive side of the ball, it’s only a matter of time before that number begins to rise.

Just a few short weeks ago, Brock Purdy of the 49ers recorded 252 yards and four touchdown passes against this Cowboys defense.

In a game where Dallas is favored by six points, Stafford is going to have to fling it often to keep the Rams alive.

I’m a little worried about Stafford collecting two touchdown passes, considering that he’s only done it once this season, but in a potentially negative game script, I like his chances.

I like the +130 odds for two touchdown passes, too.

Cooper Kupp – OVER 7.5 Receptions (+110 DraftKings)

As the primary slot receiver, Kupp should see plenty of short-yardage targets, and those will build up over the course of the game.

Kupp just needs to make the receptions, unlike last week’s series of misfires.

Shadowing Kupp will most likely be Cowboy’s corner Jourdan Lewis, and Lewis is a very strong defender in the slot.

I’m expecting Kupp to catch a lot of passes within five yards of the line of scrimmage, as this may be Kupp’s best window of open availability.

As a top playmaker in the Rams’ offense, Los Angeles must find a way to get the ball in Kupp’s hands if they are to be victorious.

Kupp only received seven targets last week, but should be back to double-digits and then some this week. A larger accumulation of receptions should come along with that.

Puka Nacua – OVER 6.5 Receptions (+114 DraftKings)

Puka Nacua has become the Robin to Kupp’s Batman, and as long as he’s seeing ten targets or more a game, then I will continue to back his receptions prop.

Especially when I can get it at +114.

Nacua has caught seven or more passes in five of seven games, and last week, he tallied eight catches on 12 targets for 154 yards.

Nacua is no longer just a ‘Cooper Kupp fill-in’, he is a major part of the Rams’ passing offense.

Matthew Stafford is averaging 36.6 pass attempts per game, so there should be plenty of targets to go around.

Stafford could push for 50 pass attempts in this matchup with an expected negative game script, and with Kupp and Nacua as the top two options in targets, both should have a chunk of catches.

Tony Pollard – OVER 68.5 Rushing Yards (-110 DraftKings)

Every week, Tony Pollard looks less and less impressive.

At some point, I’d expect his usage to climb back up, and it should this week against a subpar Los Angeles rushing defense.

The workload has been trending downward for Pollard, but against the Rams’ defense that’s allowing 117 rushing yards per game, he should see 15 or more carries.

Here’s a breakdown of Pollard’s results over his first three games:

  • Week 1 vs. NYG: 14 car, 70 yds, 2 TDs
  • Week 2 vs. NYJ: 25 car, 72 yds
  • Week 3 vs. ARI: 23 car, 122 yds

And the last three games:

  • Week 4 vs. NE: 11 car, 47 yds
  • Week 5 vs. SF: 8 car, 29 yds
  • Week 6 vs. LAC: 15 car, 30 yds

Using Pollard more won’t just help Pollard, but Prescott and the entire Cowboys’ offense, too.

This week, Pollard gets more involved.

Betting NFL Same Game Parlays

Same game parlay is just like a regular NFL parlay bet, except all bet selections come from different wagers within one football game.

The benefit of an NFL same game parlay is achieved by combining multiple bets so you can go for bigger wins as the odds increase.

The more bet selections you add, the more difficult it is to win, but the odds also greatly increase so is the potential winning amount.
