The NFL’s oldest rivalry will be played out in the NFL’s oldest stadium in Week 18, as the Green Bay Packers host the Chicago Bears at Lambeau Field on Sunday.

The Bears are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, but the Packers still have a shot at a playoff berth with a win.

Chicago is in a perfect spot to play spoiler this week.

Here’s how the Bears have played over their last seven games, courtesy of BestOdds EDGE.

Chicago blew a 26-14 lead in the fourth quarter to the Detroit Lions in Week 11 and then in Week 15 against the Cleveland Browns, the Bears were outscored in the fourth quarter 13-0 and lost by three points.

Chicago is just two bad final frames away from being 7-0 in their last seven and possibly a playoff team.

The Bears are also eighth in the NFL in Move-Net (runs plus completions per game minus those allowed), with a Move-Net of 4.69.

Here’s a link about Move-Net and how it can lead to success in an article by Michael Salfino.

For further context in this matchup, Green Bay is 21st in the NFL in Move-Net (-2.38).

The more offensively efficient Chicago squad could pull off the upset.

For this classic rivalry, I’ll place a Same Game Parlay on FanDuel.

Justin Fields – OVER 203.5 Passing Yards, OVER 51.5 Rushing Yards, and Anytime Touchdown

Much of Justin Fields’ future with the Chicago Bears organization feels fluid.

Will Fields be a Bear next season? Will Chicago trade Fields and draft Caleb Williams or some other young QB?

A win over the Packers in Lambeau Field and winning six of the last eight games may bring some clarity to Fields’ future in Chicago.

Since his return from injury in Week 11, Fields has completed 60% of his passes for an average of 202 passing yards per game and has averaged 65.5 rushing yards.

BestOdds EDGE projects Fields to eclipse his 51.5  yards rushing prop.

Considering that Green Bay has the NFL’s 28th-ranked rushing defense, allowing 131.6 rushing yards per game, I agree with BestOdds EDGE.

As for the passing game for Fields, he may be catching the Packers’ defense at the right time.

Green Bay has allowed 228.4 passing yards per game this season, but in their last six contests, they’ve allowed an average of 262.2 passing yards per game.

In those last six games, the Packers allowed Jared Goff to throw for 332 yards, Baker Mayfield to throw for 381 yards, and Bryce Young to throw for 312 yards.

With Green Bay’s defensive secondary spiraling backwards, even the lighter-throwing Fields can spiral the football comfortably.

Pick: Fields – OVER 203.5 Passing Yards (-114) FanDuel

Pick: Fields – OVER 51.5 Rushing Yards (-114) FanDuel

Pick: Fields – Anytime Touchdown (+165) FanDuel

Jordan Love – OVER 243.5 Passing Yards and OVER 1.5 TD Passes

The Packers are 4-3 at home this season, which is okay, but it’s not for a lack of trying from Jordan Love.

Here’s some home/road splits for Love:

Love’s H/R SplitComp%Yards/GameTD PassesINTRating
Home (7 Games)64.9%262.111493
Road (9 Games)61.4%223.119794.6

Love averages nearly 40 more passing yards per game at Lambeau Field, and with the Bears’ passing defense being ranked 18th in the NFL (allowing 245.6 ypg), the best way for Green Bay to beat Chicago will be through the air.

The Packers may use a similar blueprint they used to defeat the Bears by 18 points in Week 1, when Love threw for 245 yards and three touchdown passes.

While Chicago’s defense has been incredible against the run this season, currently sitting first in the NFL in rushing yards allowed (84 ypg), their passing defense has been a turnover machine, even if they’re still allowing some yards and scores.

Check out the turnovers the Bears defense has forced.

CHI Opposing QBQBs Turnovers
Week 11: Jared Goff3 INT
Week 12: Josh Dobbs4 INT
Week 14: Jared Goff2 INT
Week 15: Joe Flacco3 INT
Week 16: Kyler Murray0 INT
Week 17: Heinicke/Ridder4 INT

That’s 16 interceptions in the last six games for Chicago’s defense.

I’m expecting Love to have a lot of passing attempts in this game for two reasons: (A) you can’t run against the Bears and (B) Love may be playing catch-up to his own setbacks.

Pick: Love – OVER 243.5 Passing Yards (-114) FanDuel

Pick: Love – OVER 1.5 TD Passes (-148) FanDuel

Betting NFL Same Game Parlays

Same game parlay is just like a regular NFL parlay bet, except all bet selections come from different wagers within one football game.

The benefit of an NFL same game parlay is achieved by combining multiple bets so you can go for bigger wins as the odds increase.

The more bet selections you add, the more difficult it is to win, but the odds also greatly increase so is the potential winning amount.
