The Minnesota Vikings are on a five-game winning streak!

The Denver Broncos are 3-2 in their last five games!

With both teams sporting a combined 8-2 record in each of their last five games, this Vikings-Broncos matchup for Sunday Night Football has become a lot more interesting.

Minnesota is currently listed at +2.5 on the spread, and as underdogs this season, the Vikings are 3-1-1 against the spread and 3-2 straight up.

The Broncos are 1-4-1 against the spread this season when set as favorites.

This trend from BestOdds EDGE spells potential bad news for Denver.

Maybe we are in for some more Minnesota magic on Sunday Night Football?

For this primetime matchup, I’ll construct a Same Game Parlay on DraftKings.

Joshua Dobbs – OVER 224.5 Passing Yards, OVER 29.5 Rushing Yards AND Any Time Touchdown

Since becoming a Minnesota Viking, Joshua Dobbs is averaging 213 passing yards and 55 rushing yards, and Dobbs has scored five total touchdowns in two games.

Dobbs has run for a touchdown in back-to-back games, and I believe he’ll make it three straight in Week 11.

The Denver Broncos allowed Bills’ quarterback Josh Allen to run for a touchdown last week, the first rushing touchdown allowed to an opposing QB this season.

The Broncos’ defense has not faced many quarterbacks that attempt to score on the ground, with all QBs played this season prior to Josh Allen in Week 10, combining for four total rushing touchdowns.

Dobbs will force Denver’s defense to focus on containing a mobile QB, which has not been something the Broncos have seen enough of in 2023, especially in the red zone.

For a quarterback that runs as well as Dobbs, his rushing yards line being below 30 yards is a very solid wagering option.

One reason why quarterbacks haven’t ran that much against the Broncos is that QBs have been shredding Denver’s defense this season.

Denver currently has the 23rd-ranked passing defense in the NFL, allowing 258.4 passing yards per game.

And, with starting running back Alexander Mattison questionable to play with concussion symptoms, Dobbs may be the runner of choice against Denver rushing defense that is allowing an average of 158.3 rushing yards per game (32nd in NFL).

Dobbs has the potential to be a one-man wrecking crew against the Broncos this week.

Pick: Dobbs – OVER 224.5 Passing Yards (-115 DraftKings)

Pick: Dobbs – OVER 29.5 Rushing Yards (-115 DraftKings)

Pick: Dobbs – Any Time Touchdown (+275 DraftKings)

Russell Wilson – OVER 206.5 Passing Yards AND OVER 27.5 Rushing Yards

Surprisingly, Wilson has not thrown for at least 200 passing yards since Week 4 against the Chicago Bears.

I say it was a surprise because in Wilson’s first four games, he was averaging 253.5 passing yards per game.

In his last five games, Wilson is only averaging a measly 158.4 passing yards per game.

That’s quite a difference.

In those first four games, Wilson faced a much softer series of passing defenses, but in the last five, he has faced four different teams (playing Kansas City twice) with very formidable passing defenses.

Here’s how the Broncos opposing passing defenses have ranked over the last five games:

OpponentPassing Defense: Average & NFL Ranking
New York Jets169.3 Passing Yards/Game (3rd)
Kansas City Chiefs176 Passing Yards/Game (5th)
Green Bay Packers187.6 Passing Yards/Game (7th)
Buffalo Bills215.4 Passing Yards/Game (12th)

Against the Vikings’ defense, Wilson has an opportunity to eclipse 200 passing yards for the first time since Week 4.

Minnesota has the NFL’s 17th-ranked passing defense, allowing 244.7 passing yards per game.

Wilson has been a solid mobile QB in the past, and at times in 2023, has shown that his running talents still exist.

Here’s how Wilson has run in the last five games:

Wilson’s OpponentWilson’s Rushing Yards
Week 5: New York Jets49 Yards
Week 6: Kansas City Chiefs31 Yards
Week 7: Green Bay Packers21 Yards
Week 8: Kansas City Chiefs30 Yards
Week 10: Buffalo Bills30 Yards

Lately, Wilson has still shown a strong ability to pick up yards with his legs, and despite not having thrown as many yards in recent weeks, the Vikings’ defense will be the softest passing defense that Wilson has faced in weeks.

Pick: Wilson – OVER 206.5 Passing Yards (-115 DraftKings)

Pick: Wilson – OVER 27.5 Rushing Yards (+105 DraftKings)

Betting NFL Same Game Parlays

Same game parlay is just like a regular NFL parlay bet, except all bet selections come from different wagers within one football game.

The benefit of an NFL same game parlay is achieved by combining multiple bets so you can go for bigger wins as the odds increase.

The more bet selections you add, the more difficult it is to win, but the odds also greatly increase so is the potential winning amount.
