Playing in the Super Bowl is the pinnacle for every NFL player.

For Kansas City Chiefs’ quarterback Patrick Mahomes, playing in the Super Bowl may be becoming a humdrum and monotonous experience.

This will be Mahomes’ fourth Super Bowl appearance since taking over the QB1 job in Kansas City six years ago.

If there is one person who could be sick of the Championship limelight, it’d be Mahomes.

But, all of that early-career success, that’s a good thing.

It has to be one of best starts, if not the greatest start, for any individual in NFL history.

Mahomes has always been fun to watch on Sundays, and he’s even funner to bet on.

With Super Bowl 58 this Sunday, I’ll be placing an all-Mahomes Same Game Parlay.

And, I’ll be placing this parlay on Caesars.

Mahomes – ALT Passing Yards: 300+, ALT TD Passes: 3+, OVER 25.5 Completions and OVER 0.5 Interceptions

This season has been a bit different for the Chiefs’ offense, finishing 15th in the NFL in scoring (22.1 ppg) and 8th in total offense (353.1 ypg).

As Kansas City’s offense dipped, so did Patrick Mahomes’ numbers.

Normally a gunslinger, Mahomes only tallied 300+ passing yards in four games during the regular season.

Here’s a look at the number of 300-yard passing performances for Mahomes since 2018, his first full campaign.

YearMahomes’ Regular Season Games PlayedMahomes’ 300+ Yards Passing Games
20181610
2019147
2020159
2021175
20221710
2023164

Mahomes’ season average in passing yards was also a career-low 261.4; his previous low being 284.6 passing yards per game in 2021.

So, why would I pick Mahome’s to go over 300 yards passing?

The best way to move the ball downfield against the 49ers’ defense is through the air.

San Francisco finished 13th in the NFL in passing yards allowed, but their 5th-ranked rushing defense has been a brick wall at times, so I’m expecting Mahomes to look for open receivers in the 49ers’ secondary.

The Niners’ defense also allowed 24 passing completions per game, giving Mahomes a chance to rack up plenty of successful passing plays.

Also, if the Chiefs’ rushing game struggles, it can be quickly replaced with short-yardage passing plays near the line of scrimmage.

In his three previous Super Bowl appearances, Mahomes is averaging 24.3 completions for 246 yards and 1.7 touchdown passes.

That’s far from spectacular.

But, with an explosive 49ers’ offense on the other side, this time it will be Mahomes who has to keep up with an opposing offense.

Mahomes didn’t throw for many yards in Kansas City’s Super Bowl 57 win over the Philadelphia Eagles last year, but he was very efficient, completing 21-of-27 passes for 182 yards and three touchdowns.

In the Chiefs’ AFC Championship win over the Baltimore Ravens, Mahomes had another efficient game, yet another low yardage total, completing 30-of-39 passes for 241 yards and a touchdown.

Inside the domed confines of Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, there’ll be no foul weather to muck up any throws, so Mahomes should be free to air it out.

Unfortunately, for Mahomes, he also recorded a career-high 14 interceptions in the regular season with a 2.3 INT%.

Not his best.

And, in this game where he is likely to fling it often, one ball is bound to end up in the wrong hands.

San Francisco’s defense led the NFL in total interceptions with 22, and the Niners picked off Jordan Love twice in the Divisional round.

Maybe Mahomes will throw two interceptions again, just like he did against the 49ers in Super Bowl 54?

Either way, outside of Taylor Swift, Mahomes will be the focal point of this game.

It’s the NFL’s most popular player, in the biggest game of the year, in America’s most entertaining city.

Betting NFL Same Game Parlays

Same game parlay is just like a regular NFL parlay bet, except all bet selections come from different wagers within one football game.

The benefit of an NFL same game parlay is achieved by combining multiple bets so you can go for bigger wins as the odds increase.

The more bet selections you add, the more difficult it is to win, but the odds also greatly increase so is the potential winning amount.
