Packers vs. 49ers Same Game Parlay | Divisional Round

The Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers will meet in the playoffs for an NFL record 10th time this Saturday!

After squeezing into the playoffs, Green Bay took advantage of their unlikely postseason opportunity by defeating the Dallas Cowboys in Dallas in the Wild Card round.

Not bad for a team that started the season 2-5.

The San Francisco 49ers are looking to get the NFC Championship monkey off their backs, losing the Conference Championship two years in a row.

The 49ers will need to beat the Packers at home this week to find out if the third time’s the charm.

For this Divisional Round matchup between two historical NFL franchises, I’ll place a Same Game Parlay on BetRivers.

Jordan Love – OVER 274.5 Passing Yards and OVER 2.5 TD Passes

When Aaron Rodgers left ‘America’s Dairyland’ for ‘The Big Apple’, Jordan Love became QB1 in Green Bay.

Much like when Rodgers came in for Brett Favre, Love had big shoes to fill, and making the playoffs in the first year as the starting QB is a very promising start for Love.

Packers’ head coach Matt LaFleur wanted Love on his team, which is why Green Bay drafted him in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

That selection seems to be paying off, especially as of late, with Love throwing for 21 touchdowns and only one interception in his last nine games.

Honestly, this touchdown pass from Love looks a lot like Rodgers.

Although Love doesn’t have a true No. 1 receiver, he has found a way to spread around his targets and efficiently move the ball downfield.

The Packers have had a different 100-yard receiver in each of the last three games, proving that Love can go through different reads and find open receivers.

Love has done a masterful job of getting his team in the endzone, too.

In nine of his last 10 games, Love has thrown two or more touchdown passes.

This game may be a home game for San Francisco, but it’s kind of a home game for Love as well. Love is from Bakersfield, California, and that’s only about a three and a half hours drive to Santa Clara.

It will be Love’s first NFL start in his home state.

Romeo Doubs – OVER 49.5 Receiving Yards

As I previously mentioned, Green Bay has had a different 100-yard receiver in each of the last three games, with Romeo Doubs being one of them, tallying 151 yards against the Cowboys in last week’s victory.

Packers’ wide receiver Christian Watson is returning to the field this week, and as a fast, yards-after-catch receiver, he’ll certainly pull a lot of focus from the 49ers’ defense.

That should open up the field for Doubs.

Doubs finished the regular season as the most targeted receiver in Green Bay’s receiving corps, and he led the team in targets in the win down in Dallas.

If Doubs can collect 100 receiving yards again, great. But, I only need 50 yards here.

Doubs is also a California man.

Christian McCaffrey – OVER 109.5 Rushing Yards

Christian McCaffrey will be making a return to the field after nursing a calf injury.

The 49ers’ first-round bye in the playoffs may be exactly what McCaffrey needed to get back to his MVP-caliber ways.

This graph from BestOdds EDGE shows a dip in rushing yards for McCaffrey in his last few outings.

I’m not too concerned about the production dip.

I believe that this dip in rushing yards has more to do about the importance of the games McCaffrey was playing in than anything else.

When San Francisco was fighting for the No. 1 seed in the playoffs, McCaffrey’s production was high, when the No. 1 seed was clinched, the production tailed off.

Now healthy and playing in games that matter again, I expect McCaffrey to slice right through the Packers’ 28th-ranked rushing defense like a hot knife through butter, or cheese, for the Green Bay fans.

McCaffrey has run for over 100 yards in four of his last six games, and with another trip to the NFC Championship right around the corner, McCaffrey will shoulder the load for San Francisco’s offense.

Deebo Samuel – OVER 59.5 Receiving Yards

Although I expect McCaffrey to have a huge running performance, I like Deebo Samuel to have a nice game this Saturday.

Samuel’s matchup with Packers’ primary slot cornerback Keisean Nixon is a very winnable matchup for the speedy receiver.

Slot receivers have shredded Green Bay’s defensive secondary.

In 17 regular season games, primary slot receivers collected 91 receptions for 1,143 yards against the Packers’ defense.

That’s an average of 5.4 receptions and 67.2 receiving yards per game.

Dallas Cowboys’ receiver CeeDee Lamb ran primarily from the slot against Green Bay last week, and Lamb tallied nine receptions for 110 yards.

Samuel is a slot machine, and his success could be the jackpot San Francisco needs.
