Sports Equinox Parlay
It’s a special occurrence in the sporting calendar that’s only happened 29 previous times in history.
No, we’re not talking about a Chicago Bears victory.
We’re talking about the sports equinox!
What -is- a sports equinox exactly?
It’s when all four major professional sports leagues have games going on that particular day. And guess what we have tonight?
And a nice chunk of NBA and NHL action.
Such a momentous occasion means we want to throw together a parlay involving one leg from each major sport.
Here’s what we came up with for the 30th ever Sports Equinox, happening naturally on October 30.

NFL Leg – Jakobi Meyers OVER 4.5 Receptions
As mentioned in our favorite picks for Monday Night Football, the Raiders get Jimmy Garoppolo back from injury and cannot run the ball to save their lives.
That adds up to a potentially juicy game for Raiders’ WR Jakobi Meyers and we are keying in on his receptions tonight.
In the four games Jimmy G has started for the Raiders this season, Meyers has been targeted at least 10 times in the game.
The lone contest in which he did not see 10 targets came in the Raiders’ 21-17 win over the Patriots in which Meyers still caught five passes for 61 yards.
With the Lions tabbed as pretty heavy home favorites with a 7.5-point spread, that shows that the likely game script for tonight’s action will have the Raiders playing from behind.
If the Raiders are trailing for a good chunk of the game, that only benefits Meyers that much more as McDaniels will likely decide to lean on his veteran QB in the passing game.
While we love his receptions prop, make sure at least one Jakobi Meyers receiving prop finds its way on your betting cards tonight.

MLB Leg – Adolis Garcia OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI
The World Series resumes tonight for Game 3 from Chase Field in Phoenix, and that means we get to back the hottest batter in October when we take Adolis Garcia to clear his Hits + Runs + RBI total of 1.5 tonight.
Garcia, like most of the Rangers’ lineup, had a tough outing in Game 2 as the Diamondbacks walloped the Rangers 9-1 with Merrill Kelly throwing seven strong innings and only giving up a run on three hits.
With Texas looking to bounce back in the series tonight, they get to face rookie pitcher Brandon Pfaadt who gave the Phillies’ lineup all they could handle in the NLCS and has downright nasty stuff when he is on his game.
The above paragraph may have you wondering why we would back a Rangers slugger to get the best of said rookie pitcher and it’s because prior to Game 2 of the series, Adolis Garcia could have launched a Tic Tac 450 feet into left-center field the way he was seeing the ball at the plate.
Garcia is still your odds-on favorite to win World Series MVP, and for good reason, he’s by far the most dangerous batter in the Texas lineup coming into this series, which says a lot considering their lineup also includes the likes of Marcus Semien and Corey Seager.
Prior to his 0-fer at the dish on Saturday night, Adolis cleared his 1.5 HRR prop in 11 of his previous 12 playoff games.
Look for him to get back on track tonight and clear this number once again.

NBA Leg – Tyrese Haliburton OVER 30.5 Points + Assists
If you’re unfamiliar with Indiana Pacers basketball, just know these two things coming into tonight’s home date with the Bulls.
The Pacers lead the NBA in scoring after the first week of play, averaging 134 points per contest, and emerging superstar Tyrese Haliburton is a big driving force behind everything Indiana does.
The Bulls are already facing turmoil, as they called a players-only meeting after the first game of the season.
That usually doesn’t exactly scream “The team is in good shape guys! Everything is FINE!”
Regardless of whether or not the Bulls right the ship, the Pacers are going to play a fun and frenetic brand of basketball again tonight and there is not much that will slow down Tyrese Haliburton from scoring or setting up his teammates to do so.
In the first two games of the season, Haliburton has cleared this 30.5 mark in each contest and we expect another double-double to come tonight.
Best Odds: DraftKings (-110)

NHL Leg – Jack Eichel OVER 3.5 Shots on Goal
The final leg of our Sports Equinox comes from the land of hockey and if you do not follow any hockey whatsoever, here’s a quick crash course about something your regular NHL player prop bettors already know.
The Montreal Canadiens give up a whole lot of shots on goal and Vegas Golden Knights center Jack Eichel tends to take a lot of shots on goal.
Eichel has put at least four shots on goal up in seven of his last 10 games, and we had a more detailed write-up for why he’s in our Sports Equinox parlay but the always excellent Matty Chucks on Twitter was able to put it into even more eloquent words.
Long story short, there are many bets that are worse than rolling the dice on one of the best young players in the sport to not get some shots against one of the worst teams in the sport.
Happy Sports Equinox Day everybody!
