Derek Carr Big Results Under Bright Lights

If you pull up his stat page, you will notice that Derek Carr has thrown for 4,000 yards in three consecutive seasons and appears well on his way to a fourth.

Eventually, you will stumble onto his 52-66 (44%) all-time record, which is probably the reason he is rarely considered a Top-Tier quarterback.

What you won’t find on the Derek Carr bio page is that this guy flat out excels in Prime Time football games when playing on home turf.

This Sunday, Carr and his Raiders host the Kansas City Chiefs, who have some interesting ATS stats of their own.

Las Vegas is +2.5 underdogs at home and if you believe history is set to repeat itself, then all your chips should be pushed into the middle on the Raiders plus the points. (Well, maybe not all of them…)

Derek Carr Doesn’t Lose At Home In Prime Time

Over his last 10 Prime Time games on home field, Carr is an impressive 8-1-1 ATS and 7-0 ATS in his last seven games.

This season, the Raiders have played one Monday Night game at home. Las Vegas was +4 home underdogs in Week 1 and all they did was go out and beat the Ravens outright, with Carr throwing for 435 yards in a 33-27 OT win.

Last season Carr and his Raiders played three Prime Time games at home.

Not only did Las Vegas cover all three games, but they also beat the 12-4 New Orleans Saints straight up, with Carr completing 28 of 38 passes in a 32-24 win on MNF.

In fact, Carr and the Raiders are 6-4 straight under the bright lights, despite being underdogs in all 10 games.

Chiefs vs Raiders – Week 10 Matchup

Including their Week 1 MNF win against Baltimore, the Raiders are 4-4 ATS this year.

Meanwhile, the 5-4 Kansas City Chiefs are only 4-16 ATS in their last 20 games.

This game and the 2.5 spread will be very interesting to watch play out.

Derek Carr just doesn’t lose under the bright lights at home, while the Chiefs just can’t seem to cover against anyone, anywhere, anytime.
