How Bet Props On Hard Rock App

Whether you want to place a moneyline bet, a player prop, a game prop, or anything in between, the process is simple at Hard Rock.

Below, I will list the steps that tell you how to place a prop bet at Hard Rock:

  • Open Hard Rock Sportsbook account.
  • Click on the drop-down menu that will display all of the sports markets.
  • Choose the sport then the game you want to wager on.
  • If you want to place a game prop bet, then choose it from the menu.
  • You will also see other prop options here like player props and team props.
  • Now, select the prop bet you want to make.
  • It will appear on your bet slip.
  • Enter the amount you want to stake.
  • Click the “Submit Bet” button to place it.

Prop Builder

A prop builder is a tool that will allow the bettor to create custom prop wagers.

With a prop-building tool, you no longer only have to rely on the props that the sportsbook is providing. Instead, you can create your own.

However, prop builders are unique and difficult to find. Not all sportsbooks have them. Hard Rock included.

Instead, Hard Rock sportsbook has a bet builder which is similar to a parlay builder.

What Is A Prop Bet?

Prop bets is a shortened name for proposition bets, which is what they are called in many betting circles.

Rather than being centered around the outcome of a game or the total points scored, prop bets are focused on an individual player or team’s efforts in most cases.

Prop bets also focus on in-game happenings as well.

For example, you can place a bet on how many points a player will score or when a team will call its first time out.

There are even types of prop bets that will focus on instances outside of a game. These are called novelty props, which we will get into later in this review.

Player Props

Player props are bets that are centered around an individual player’s statistical performance.

You can bet on players across all the major professional leagues like NHL, NFL, or NBA.

When you bet on a player prop, said player must reach a statistical plateau for you to win.

Here are a few examples of player props you can wager on at Hard Rock Sportsbook:

  • Dak Prescott to throw Over 1.5 touchdowns (-120)
  • Patrick Kane to score a goal (+130)
  • Patrick Beverley to record over 0.5 steals (-160)

For the above player props to cash, Prescott must throw for 2+ touchdowns, Kane must score a goal and Beverley must record a steal.

As you can see, none of those wagers have anything to do with the outcome of their games.

Team Props

Team props focus on the individual statistical performances of a team, rather than the outcome of the game.

Some team props will include how many points will be scored in a quarter and how many sacks a team will record in a football game.

Below, I will list a few examples of team props:

  • The Orlando Magic will win the Race to 15 points against the Charlotte Hornets (-110)
  • Liverpool will receive Over 2.5 yellow cards (+100)
  • Miami Dolphins will score fewer than 14 points in the first half (-110)

For the above bets to cash, the Magic must score 15 points before the Hornets, Liverpool must be yellow-carded three times and the Dolphins must score fewer than 14 points.

Like player props, the above team props are not determined by the outcome of the game.

Game Props

Game props are wagers that are centered around in-game stats and instances.

Some game props you will find include whether or not a contest will go into overtime or whether the final score will be an odd or even number.

Here are a few examples of game props you will see at Hard Rock:

  • How many total touchdowns will be scored in the game?
  • The margin of victory
  • Exact final score

Novelty Props

Novelty props are bets that are centered around niche happenings, usually that have nothing to do with a game or an event at all.

In other regions, you will find that novelty props are also called exotic props.

Normally, you will find novelty props when there are big events like the Super Bowl, an election, or March Madness.

Here are examples of novelty props you will find at Hard Rock:

  • The color of the Gatorade shower at the Super Bowl
  • The winner of the film of the year award
  • Who will Bill Gates marry next? (yes, this is a real thing)

Prop Betting Strategy

If you want to become a successful prop bettor, you must have a strategy with every bet you make.

It only makes sense that you don’t blindly place wagers on a hunch or because you like a team’s colors.

Below, I will list some of my top prop betting strategies to help you make more money in sports betting

Fade Novelty Props

Novelty props are meant to be fun, but not so lucrative since they are more or less based on luck than anything else.

What’s more, most of the time, novelty props have nothing to do with a game or your betting ability. Therefore, they are hard to predict and even more difficult to make money with.

If you are going to place novelty props, then be sure to only sprinkle portions of a unit on them.

There is a reason why you will only find novelty props around big events.

Sportsbooks want to lure in the amateur who will dump their entire bankroll on the Gatorade bath.

Prop Shop

You’ve heard of line shopping, right? If not, then check out the line shopping tools we feature right here at BestOdds.com.

Well, while you can shop lines on any game between various sportsbooks, you can do the same thing with props.

So if you are at FanDuel eying a prop that features LeBron James to score 35+ points at (+250) odds, but you can get the same odds if he scores 32.5 at hard Rock, then you’d be wise to place the bet at hard Rock at the lower total.

You wouldn’t know this unless you shopped the line.

Do Your Research

Be sure you do your research. It only takes a few minutes to look into each prop bet that you make since the technology gives you stats, historic trends, and more right at your fingertips, on the go on any device.

If you aren’t doing your research, you won’t be able to see if the books are off with their lines or odds, which can give you an advantage.

On the other side, it could also save you from making a bad bet too. It works both ways.

Propositions is a perfect bet to include in your next same game parlay at Hard Rock.
