  • Buffalo is fourth league-wide in total yards per game (387.7 yards/game).

(NFL Odds and Totals provided by DraftKings) Buffalo Bills Team Totals Breakdown - image The Buffalo Bills offense looks explosive at this point in the season, and this doesn’t appear to be a small-sample size issue. Last year, Buffalo averaged 28.3 points per game. Through six games this year, they are averaging more than 32 points.

Bills Team Total Stats

  • This week vs. Baltimore, the Bills total is +28.5 points, down one point from last week’s +29.5 vs. the Raiders.
  • Buffalo has played only two teams with a winning record. (Detroit and New England)
  • Detroit and the LV Raiders are two of the worst defensive teams in terms of yards allowed this year. (Buffalo scored 74 points in those two games)
  • The Texans, Rams, and Patriots are all above-average defenses. Buffalo scored 99 points combined against those three teams.
Ravens Points Allowed Through Week 7 - image At 4-3, the Baltimore Ravens are currently last in the very competitive AFC North. Defensively, the Ravens rank 11th in total yards allowed but slip to 18th in points allowed. (23.9 per game)
  • Indianapolis, New Orleans, Tennessee, and Cleveland are all below league average in points scored and offensive yards per game.
  • Tennessee and Cleveland both average less than 20 points per game this year.
  • Joe Burrow and Dak Prescott each scored more than 30 points against Baltimore this year
  • Tyler Shough (NO), Deshaun Watson (CLE), Cam Ward (TEN), and Daniel Jones (IND) are all below league average according to QBR and QB Rating stats.
The hypothesis going into this article was that Buffalo would struggle to score 29 or more points against the Ravens. However, no stats or trends suggested Baltimore is an elite defense. But it does appear Buffalo can score a lot.
