NFL Futures Betting: A Preview of Super Bowl & Conference Championship Odds

As the NFL season approaches the postseason, bettors may be looking to check out what odds are available when it comes to futures betting on the Super Bowl and conference champions.
Futures betting allows prognosticators to wager on which team will win a championship. These bets offer a sweat throughout the playoffs and some premium payoffs when those bets turn out to be winners.
Some of those wagers that may have been made at the beginning of the season are now no good – see the Chiefs, Lions, Cowboys, and Vikings.
Many bettors may be looking for hot teams like the Patriots (13-3), Bears (11-5), Broncos (13-3), and Seahawks (13-3), which all lead their divisions and have scored some big wins recently. Other teams like the 49ers (12-4), Rams (11-4), and Jaguars (12-4) have also had nice seasons and offer some value.
On the other hand, it seems like the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles (11-5) are also getting overlooked quite a bit as other teams get hot down the stretch. The champs may be a bit of an overlooked squad and worth dropping a few bucks on.
With some of that in mind, here’s a look at futures betting by conference with betting odds also for the eventual Super Bowl winner.
AFC Champion
The AFC offers some top teams and picking a conference winner certainly isn’t easy. Can the Broncos continue to roll? Will the Bills rise up and finally get back in the big game? Here’s a look at futures betting on the winner of the AFC, with odds courtesy of FanDuel.

- Buffalo Bills +480
- New England Patriots +490

NFC Champion
The Eagles have a chance to repeat as Super Bowl champions, but aren’t even the favorite to win the NFC. Instead the Seahawks, Rams and 49ers sit ahead of Philly and those teams are hoping to chart their own course to an NFC title and Super Bowl appearance, making sure the Eagles don’t win their third title in four years. Here’s a look at betting on the NFC.

Three of the four favorites to win the Lombardi Trophy come from the NFC West: the Seahawks, Rams, and 49ers. The Denver Broncos also sit in third and the Eagles round out the top five.
