Kalshi continues to expand its peer-2-peer prediction trading offering, and a particular type of specialized feature is the Kalshi Combos which allows users to build multiple event contracts together into one single position. That said, not all events are eligible. These Kalshi combine markets have specific rules and processes, including how the overall contract price is generated, and the conditions for the Kalshi Combos settling correct positions. This guide below explores this type of prediction market platform feature, how it works, and the current limitations compared to other, simpler predictions. Find out if Kalshi Combos is for you. Understanding the terminology of Kalshi Combos

Kalshi Combos is sometimes mistakenly labelled as Kalshi parlay or even Kalshi same game parlay. However, they are completely different, due to the underlying peer-2-peer prediction trading mechanism, and the lack of operator odds. Kalshi officially calls them Kalshi Combos, where users can combine multiple event contracts in a single position.

Pros and cons of Kalshi Combine markets

Kalshi Combos give customers extra flexibility and the chance to experiment with different combinations of predictions. However, this is still very much a limited service, with a relatively small selection of eligible event contracts that can be turned into Combos. Additionally, there is no guarantee that a customer’s Combo will be filled.

Pros

  • More prediction trading freedom
  • Relatively easy to understand
  • Simple event contract price structure

Cons

  • Limited availability

How do Kalshi Combos work?

Kalshi Combos are not available for all prediction markets. They are a type of limited-availability prediction, usually for sporting events and entertainment events.

Customers can create prediction combo requests

A Kalshi Combo is essentially two or more event contracts combined into a single position. The following process has to take place for a Kashi Combo to be created:
  1. Customer uses the combo builder feature to build a Kalshi Combo.
  2. The combo is sent into the RFQ system.
  3. A recipient trade fulfills the request and sends a price.
  4. The customer either accepts or declines the price.
  5. Kalshi Combo prediction plays out.
The RFG system is the Request For Quote system, and all Combos have to go through this, because they are a non-standard type of prediction. This is also a potential issue as there is no guarantee that the Combo prediction will be fulfilled via the RFQ system – it is reliant on another trader accepting the prediction and providing a price offering.

Settlement of Kalshi combine markets

Kalshi Combos ONLY settle in-the-money if ALL of the included predictions also settle in-the-money. For example, perhaps a customer requests a Combo for three different NBA matches:
Prediction Yes/No Event Contract Actual Outcome
San Antonio Spurs vs. New York Knicks Yes (San Antonio to win) New York wins
Chicago Bulls vs. Sacramento Kings No (Sacramento to win) Sacramento wins
Boston Celtics vs. Denver Nuggets No (Denver to win) Denver wins
In this instance, the Kalshi Combo would settle out-of-the-money, because the trader got the first prediction wrong. The Combo would only generate a return if all three predictions were correct.

Availability of Kalshi multi market predictions

In this Kalshi review, we’ll clarify again that customers cannot request Combos on every prediction the site has. Instead, they are a type of rolling limited feature. Currently, the Kalshi combine markets usually include sports and entertainment. For sports, this includes combinations for the winner of multiple sporting events, but also combinations for different predictions within games.

Conclusion – Kalshi Combos is a limited multi-prediction feature

Kalshi Combos is still in its infancy, and at this point in time, they are a user-generated feature where users can send combo requests to other traders via the RFQ system. They give traders the ability to combine multiple predictions into one, mainly for sports and entertainment, but there is no guarantee that these combos will be fulfilled. Kalshi combine markets FAQs

Can customers create Kalshi multi market predictions on every prediction?

No. At the moment, Kalshi operates a rolling selection of Combos, mainly for their sports and entertainment categories.

What happens if a single prediction within a Kalshi Combo market settles out-of-the-money?

ALL event contracts within Kalshi Combos have to settle in-the-money, otherwise the return on the position is $0.

Are Kalshi combine markets guaranteed to be accepted?

No. A customer must send their combo prediction through the Request For Quote system, and another trader has to accept the quote. This means that Kalshi Combos can potentially go unfulfilled.
