The Kansas City Chiefs’ have the NFL’s 17th-ranked rushing defense, so they have been more vulnerable to opposing running games.
Kansas City has allowed 113.2 rushing yards per game, and in their final eight games of the regular season, they allowed over 100 combined rushing and receiving yards to an individual running back four times.
The four running backs to accomplish those numbers against the Chiefs were Eagles’ running back D’Andre Swift, Raiders’ Josh Jacobs, Bills’ James Cook, and Raiders’ Zamir White.
McCaffrey is a better and more explosive running back than all four of those backs.

In only four games against top-10 rushing defenses in the regular season, McCaffrey averaged 15.75 carries for 65.25 yards. Nothing too spectacular on the ground, but he’s been a solid pass catcher as well.
Against the Detroit Lions second ranked rushing defense in the NFC Championship, McCaffrey ran for 90 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries.
With a heavier workload and reliance to help carry the offense, I’d expect McCaffrey to push for 20 carries or more again.
This isn’t Week 10 against Cleveland, it’s the Super Bowl.
It’s time to put the ball in the hands of your best player.
McCaffrey has two rushing touchdowns in each of his first two postseason games, and I think he’ll go for the three-peat in Super Bowl 58.
If Niners’ quarterback Brock Purdy faces some pressure, McCaffrey is the ultimate safety-valve in the flat.
McCaffrey will be all over the place this Sunday.
