If you watch an NBA shootaround before a game, you will notice that many players wear headphones.

Music before a game can do a couple of things for an athlete.

It can stimulate a part of the brain to help heighten our skills. Music can also excite or hype an athlete before they need to perform.

In the music video, Before He Cheats, Carrie Underwood shows off some of her baseball skills by taking out some relationship frustrations on what was a pretty nice truck.

After losing to Malcolm Brogdon in the NBA Sixth Man of the Year voting last night, I’m not sure if Immanuel Quickley beat up any trucks, but I do think he is a very good candidate to go OVER his points total today.

Let me explain.

Revenge Is A Dish Best Served Cold

When the regular season ended, most sportsbooks had Quickley as the betting favorite to win the NBA Sixth Man Award.

But the voting for the award came out yesterday, and Malcolm Brogdon of the Boston Celtics was named the league’s best player off the bench.

Quickley was a distant second.

In the same way that I bet on Carrie Underwood when she fought the truck, I am betting on Quickley to take out his revenge on the Cleveland Cavaliers and to score 12 points or more tonight.

It’s In The Data As Well

According to our BestOdds Edge betting platform, our belief in Quickley is not just based on emotion but is also backed by data science.

We can see that over his last ten games, Quickley has cruised over +11.5 points in 9 of 10.

However, it’s important to note that Quickley was starting and playing a lot more minutes in the first eight games.

Games 1 and 2 from this year’s playoffs are the last two bars on our graph.

After going 0-5 from the floor in Game 1, Quickley rebounded to go 4-8 with 12 points in Game 2.

The BestOdds Edge platform suggests a 50% edge in our favor and backs it up with a high probability rating.

I believe when a bet’s data science and emotional trends all line-up, it’s time to jump on it.

It’s time for me to start dabbin’ on three dollars worth of that bathroom Polo and then make a bet on Immanuel Quickley OVER + +11.5 points tonight.
