With the Euro 2020 finals approaching, we decided to give you guys a quick rundown of what to expect from Sunday’s final game at Wembley. Whether you’re a bettor or just a sports fan, buckle up for a rundown of a highly anticipated final game.

Let’s first take a look at England throughout the championship. After defeating Croatia, and the Czech Republic in the Group stage, England powered on to win against Germany and Ukraine. England did not lose a single game; however, they drew against Scotland with 0-0.

The semi-final game against Denmark was one to watch as England made over twice the shots Denmark did. Despite that, the score remained at 1-1 at the end of the second half prompting England’s Harry Kane to take a penalty kick.

Danish goalie Kasper Schmeichel saved the initial shot but missed as Kane went for a rebound. This is the first time England has made it to the finals and the first time they have a chance to win the Euro Championship.

On the other hand, the Italians took on Turkey, Switzerland, and Wales in the Group stage to go on and defeat Austria and Belgium after that. They did not lose nor draw a single game during this stage; however, when meeting Spain in the semi-finals, the team went past extra time and had to battle it out during a penalty shoot-out.

Their semi-final match against Spain was another fantastic game. After no changes were made to the score during extra time, they took the game to penalties. Spain managed to score two, but unfortunately, and this was not enough as Italy shot four goals and moved forward to the finals.

Italy took home the win once before in 1968, and it looks like they are determined to do it once again.

Now, in comparing the two teams, the odds seem to be pretty evenly balanced. They have played each other 27 times, with Italy winning 11, England 8, and 8 games resulting in a draw.
